My First lesson using maya was fun and i went through the basics of the software like using the camera, viewpoints, tools and shortcuts. Our task was to create something using the tools we were learning about, the main tool we used was "Extrude" which used "Ctrl + E" as a shortcut. This tool allowed us to take surfaces of a shape and move, skew and rotate them on a 3d axis, this allowed for some good yet unlife-like designs such as robots and spaceships. If during the process of making our 3D models we got a part of our creation lost or obscured by another object we could use the "Outliner" tool to find a peice in a our project and pressed "F" to center the camera to it. Ultimately after learning these tools i had a spaceship that i liked the look of but the program ended up crashing so it was lost, after loading it back up i chose to continously save the work i do to insure i wouldnt lose as much progress.
